On top of that, this cake is my cat Lola’s favourite. When we were invited by our publisher to talk about our (at that time potential) book Andere Koek, Lola had already started munching on this cake, meaning we were forced to show up empty handed. We wilden een boek maken waarbij je niet meer 8 verschillende taarten, desserts en cake hoefde te maken zodat iedereen wat lekkers heeft tijdens de feestdagen of een verjaardags partijtje. Niets is zo lekker als eigen gebakken taart uit de oven, geen betere start van de dag dan met een grote stapel pannenkoeken. Er is zoveel mogelijk met een beslagkom, pollepel en oven. 
Dit schreven we aan Kosmos uitgevers. Wij weten dat met een liefde voor taarten en cakes ons bedrijf is ontstaan. En we weten ook dat het de creatieve uitdaging van het vegan en glutenvrij bakken is die ons elke dag weer drijft. We delen niet altijd de recepten of gooien alles op social media want al hadden we geen Food Bandits, je vindt ons altijd in de keuken.

Mijn Syrische keuken

Net zoals een paar jaar geleden met ons eigen kookboek "Good Morning'", belde Alexandra, redactrice Xander Uitgevers en hadden we binnen 20 minuten een kookboek. Ze vertelde over een bijzonder vrouw, genaamd Zina die de eerste Syrische vluchteling is die een kvk onderneming was begonnen waarmee ze fantastisch kookt voor verschillende mensen in Paradiso tot leden van koninklijk huis. Ze heeft de hel in Syrië meegemaakt en daarna de barre tocht, gescheiden van haar kinderen gemaakt door verschillende Europese landen om hier in Nederland haar tweede thuis te vinden. Ze houdt van Amsterdam maar Aleppo is voor altijd in haar hart zoals ze het zo mooi omschrijft.
